Branch In-service & Training
The Cork Branch meet regularly throughout the year on Friday afternoons for scheduled branch inservice meetings. We also organise other information evenings and sessions throughout the year so keep an eye out for events that may interest you!

March Branch Meeting & Visit: Friday 23rd March 2012
Venue/Time: Cork College of Commerce at 2pm
Topic: Helen Ryan and team has very kindly invited us back again for updates on their programmes and to guide us through the new Fetac structure. Looking forward to seeing you all there.
January Branch Inservice: Friday 20th January 2012
Venue/Time: Rochestown Park Hotel at 2pm
Topic: Pat Shortt from ETC will talk about the Career Fit Series Tool.
December Branch Inservice: Friday 12th December 2011
Venue/Time: UCC O'Rahilly Building at 2pm
Topic: Sheila McGovern will discuss the HEAR application process and answer any questions that we might have. Tea/coffee will be provided at 1.45pm
November Branch Inservice: Friday 25th November 2011
Venue/Time: Rochestown Park Hotel at 2pm
Topic: Karen O'Mahony, Implementation Officer with the HSE will give a 1.5 hour training session on the new guidelines outlines in "Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children".
Tea/Coffee - Will be served at 2pm. Anyone who would like a hot drink before the meeting is asked to arrive promptly so as not to delay the start of the inservice which will begin at 2.15pm sharp.
October Branch Meeting: Friday 21st October 2011
Venue/Time: Rochestown Park Hotel at 2pm
Topic: Liam Doocey of the Youth Health Service in Cork will discuss the services provided by the centre and issues concerning the health of our young people.
Please note that tea/coffee will be served at 3pm instead of 2pm to facilitate the needs of our speaker with regards to previous commitments.

Topic: Professor Angela Veale and phD student Naomi will talk to us about the experience of the immigrant student in Ireland.
CBT Training Weekend: 16th and 17th April
Two full days of training; certified by the PCI College.
Information Evening - Reach + Training: Tuesday 5th April 2011
Venue / Time: Presentation Brothers College at 7pm.
Topic: A demonstration-style workshop designed to give guidance counsellors a good overview of the Reach+ programme.
Campus Visit - College of Commerce: Friday 28th January 2011
Venue / Time: Main College campus at 2pm.
Update: Thanks to Helen Ryan and everyone at the college we had a very interesting and worthwhile visit, and we hope to make it an annual event.
